01About the project
Contrasting sonic landscapes, connected through a coherent narrative.
Gohtobi is the live, production and DJ project of Mexican artist Alexandro Reyes. Active since 2024, it emerged from the need to turn constant creative pressure into sound.
The project moves between hypnotic and ambient techno, bass music and broken rhythms. The live act combines composed material with real-time sequencing, sampling and hardware performance; rhythmic structures, melodic triggers and transitions are continuously reshaped, so no two performances unfold in exactly the same way.
Gohtobi has presented live and DJ sets across Japan and Mexico, moving between intimate rooms, independent clubs and community-led electronic music spaces.
